It’s not impossible to score an amazing deal to Honolulu, Hawaii.  The key is diligent planning with a dose of patience. It took me over six months to find a fantastic deal and when I found it, I booked faster than the speed of light.  Recruit help from Jack’s Flight Club, a free service to receive information about crazy cheap flights, or pay for their membership for more flight insight. Walking, Buses, & Uber

Waikiki, Honolulu is a walkable friendly city. As a former New Yorker walking is our travel mode of choice. We literally walked to and from each stretch of Waikiki; Unfortunately if you are going to a Luau, a factory tour or the many other activities walking may not be an option. Good news! Uber and Lyft is readily available. We took Uber a couple of times but we found the public buses more accessible and economical. http://www.thebus.org/Route/Routes.asp

One-Way Adult Fare: $2.75 or 1-Day Pass: $5.50

Ages 6 to 17: $1.25/ Ride or $2.50/Day Pass Seniors over 65

Day Pass: Unlimited rides valid from 12:00 a.m. – 2:59 a.m
