Pura Vida, Taking deep calculated breathes I exhale as I overlook the white sands of Flamingo beach. If the weather is just right, you might have the chance to see this white sand beach turn to a subtle shade of pink. Just sit, relax while enjoying an amazing unobstructed sunset view.
On our ATV’s we freewheeled from Brasilito to Playa Flamingo riding through towns stopping to talk to locals tasting fruits from farmer stands along the way, quenching our thirst with fresh coconut water and up mountains with spectacular views
Costa Rica is my oyster as I have my choices of black volcanic sand, white sandy beaches, high tides for surfing, or low tides for walking through the waters.
Yes, we visited during raining season. The rainy season is from May to November, but It did not stop us from exploring the lush terrain of Costa Rica one bit. The mornings greeted us, good day. Bright rays of morning sunshine beckoning us to hurry outside in the pursuit of adventures with eco-friendly options from the Animal Sanctuary with wildlife from monkeys, birds, frogs, butterflies, and sloths. Volcanic expeditions and hiking in National parks like Parque Nacional Volcan Teenorio. Some late afternoons and early evenings met us with large rain droplets as we passed in and out of storms through the providences of Guanacaste, Liberia. Rain on one side & sunshine on the next. There was a line where you could have one foot on the rainy side and one foot on the dry side.
Pura Vida! Pure Life cherishing simple pleasures like beautiful sunsets, enjoying a slower pace, taking time to spend with family and friends. Pura Vida as the locals constantly say; not only say but do and demonstrate with their openness to share their land & lifestyle.
We were on the receiving end of a people who demonstrated a culture of kindness. Not only to visitors but for nature, ecology, and the earth through the customs of Costa Rica & Pura Vida. Gracias, mi Amor my Costa Rician neighbors I can’t wait to come back again.
